HERMETIC CABLE PENETRATIONS OF “ELOX” TYPE

Hermetic electrical penetrations of the "ELOX" type (hereinafter referred to as penetrations), which are intended for the hermetic passage of measuring, coaxial, control and power electrical circuits, as well as optical circuits through the walls and ceilings of sealed premises of nuclear power plants (hereinafter referred to as NPPs) and other objects. Penetrations are used in power supply systems of NPPs with a rated voltage of up to 1000 V and up to 10 kV of direct and alternating current with a frequency of 50 and 60 Hz, as well as in measuring and information circuits of the technological cycle of NPPs, including optical fiber lines. The penetrations meet the special requirements of regulatory documents used by the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspection of Ukraine in the field of use of Nuclear energy NP 306.2.141, NP 306.2.205, NP 306.2.208, NP 306.2.218. The penetrations meet the requirements of the IEC 60772 standard, the IEEE Std 317 standard. Regarding fire resistance, the penetrations meet the requirements of the DSTU EN(IEC) 60331 and 60332 series of standards. The penetrations on methods and procedures for determining suitability for nuclear power plants meet the requirements of the IEEE Std 323 standard for equipment of 1E class. According to NP 306.2.141, penetrations belong to class 2NLOU. In terms of seismic resistance, penetrations belong to category I in accordance with NP 306.2.208. According to the nature of the application at nuclear power plants, penetrations are classified as category B according to GOST 25804.1 and in terms of operating conditions - to group 2.1 according to GOST 25804.3. Penetrations are manufactured in climatic version U2 in accordance with GOST 15150. Penetrations can be manufactured in other climatic versions in accordance with GOST 15150. The type of climatic version of penetrations is determined in accordance with GOST 15150 when ordering. When ordering, penetrations can be manufactured according to the special technical requirements of foreign nuclear power plants.

EA TYPE CONNECTING SYSTEMS

Connecting systems of the EA type (hereinafter - EA system) for nuclear power plants in general include cable sleeves of EK type TU U 27.3-14306300-016:2015 and connecting sleeves of EC type. EC connecting sleeves from EA system composition (hereinafter – EC sleeves) can be supplied separately from EA systems in accordance with the requirements of the Technical Specifications. EA systems and EC sleeves are intended for connecting EM feedthroughs TU U 31.2-14306300-002-2002 and ELOX hermetic electrical penetration feedthroughs TU U 31.2-14306300-020-2004 (hereinafter - feedthroughs) with control and power cables at rated voltage up to 1000 V and up to 10 kV of direct and alternating current with a frequency of 50 and 60 Hz, as well as cables used for measurement and information purposes (including optical fiber lines), both outside the NPP hermetic containment system and inside the NPP hermetic containment system. EA systems and EC sleeves meet the requirements of the regulatory documents of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspection of Ukraine in the field of nuclear energy use: NP 306.2.141, NP 306.2.205, NP 306.2.208. EA systems and EC sleeves meet the requirements of DSTU IEC 60780, SOU NAEK 005, IEEE Std 383, IEC 61238-1 standards. EA systems and EC sleeves according to the methods and procedures for determining suitability for nuclear power plants meet the requirements of the IEEE Std 323 standard for equipment class 1E. Special fire-resistant version (FR) of EA systems and EC sleeves meets the requirements of DSTU IEC 60331-21 (180 minutes in an open flame), according to DSTU 4809 - FE180. According to NP 306.2.141 EA systems and EC sleeves belong to class 2НО. In terms of seismic resistance, EA systems and EC sleeves belong to the category I NP 306.2.208. Type of climatic version - B1 according to GOST 15150. EA systems (EC sleeves, respectively) for connection to ELOX type penetration feedthroughs (TU U 31.2-14306300-020-2004) are manufactured according to the types of feedthroughs depending on the number of cores and their cross-section: The EA system generally includes: - EK type cable sleeves (TU U 27.3-14306300-016:2015), consisting of: а) materials for sealing the end of the cable; b) grounding conductor of the cable armor (shields); c) bandage for fixing the cores of cables; - EC sleeves consisting of:

CABLE SLEEVES OF ЕК and ЕСк TYPE

EK type cable sleeves (hereinafter EK sleeves), designed for terminating control and power cables with a rated voltage of up to 1000 and up to 10 kV of current with a frequency of 50 and 60 Hz, as well as cables used in measuring and information circuits, including optical fiber lines; ECk type cable sleeves (hereinafter ECk sleeves), designed for connecting control or power cables with a rated voltage of up to 1000 V direct and alternating current with a frequency of 50 and 60 Hz, as well as cables used in measuring and information circuits. EC and ECk sleeves meet the requirements of the regulatory documents of the State Nuclear Regulation Inspection of Ukraine in the field of nuclear energy use: NP 306.2.141, NP 306.2.205, NP 306.2.208. EC and ECk sleeves meet the requirements of standards DSTU IEC 60780, IEEE Std 383, IEC 61238-1. EC and ECk sleeves according to the methods and procedures for determining suitability for nuclear power plants meet the requirements of the IEEE Std 323 standard for equipment of 1E class. Special fire-resistant versions of FR sleeves EK and ECk meet the requirements of DSTU IEC 60331-21, according to the classification of DSTU 4809 – FE180. EK and ECk sleeves are manufactured for use on nuclear power plants in class 2NOUZ systems according to NP 306.2.141 and for general industrial use. In terms of seismic resistance, EK and ECk sleeves belong to category I according to NP 306.2.208. EK and ECk sleeves by nature of application at NPPs belong to equipment of continuous use and according to operating conditions - to groups E1.1, E1.4, E2.1, E2.2 according to SOU NAEK 100. The type of climatic version is B1 according to GOST 15150. EK and ECk sleeves are not manufactured for oil-filled cables and for cables with mineral insulation. ECk sleeves are not manufactured for cables with optical channels. EK sleeves generally include:

a) a sealing sleeve for terminating the cable along its sheath and cross section;

b) depending on design version: - individual protection of each cable core; - connecting lugs; - shield conductors; - transition elements with electrical connection of flexible conductors. 

 ECk sleeves generally include: 

а) core connectors; 

b) sealing tube of the place of electrical connection of cable cores; 

c) general protection of the cable connection point; d) depending on the cable design: - shield conductors; - transition connectors; - individual connection of each cable core. 

 Depending on the cable used, the exact composition is indicated in the design documents and packing list for the specific product.

СПО-ЭU passive fire protection systems

СПО-ЭU passive fire protection systems (hereinafter referred to as СПО-ЭU) are designed for passive fire protection of elements of cable management (cable boxes, trays, slots, ceilings, pipes, cables) from the spread of fire at nuclear power plants both inside and outside the hermetic containment system , as well as at thermal power stations and other industrial facilities. СПО-ЭU are used: - for performing fire-resistant universal cable penetrations when passing cables through walls and ceilings, including cables laid in pipes, as well as in cable boxes and trays (belts, partitions); - to ensure resistance of cables (bundles of cables) to the spread of flame. СПО-ЭU meet the requirements of the regulatory document of the State Nuclear Regulation Inspection of Ukraine in the field of nuclear energy use NP 306.2.141. СПО-ЭU belong to class 3О and 4Н as per NP 306.2.141. In terms of seismic resistance, СПО-ЭU belong to the category I of NP 306.2.208. In terms of operating conditions, СПО-ЭU belong to groups E1.1, E2.1 according to SOU NAEK 100. By nature of application at NPPs, СПО-ЭU are classified as equipment for continuous use. The type of climate performance is U2 according to GOST 15150. The СПО-ЭU delivery set, depending on the design, includes: 

a) fire-resistant board "PO", manufactured on the basis of mineral wool boards on a synthetic binder according to DSTU B V.2.7-316; 

b) "Siloterm ЭP-6" flame retardant coating based on low molecular rubber; 

c) fireproof neutral silicone sealant "Siloterm ЭП-71"; 

d) supporting metal reinforcement (supplied at the additional request of the Customer); 

e) equipment and tools for installation of СПО-ЭU and quality control (supplied at the additional request of the Customer); 

f) documents, which are determined by the requirements of the agreement (contract) and the list of delivery components for a specific order, including specifications, passport, regulations for fire protection works and a certificate of conformity.
